In the past 15 years, New York City has lost 332 faith-based properties.

With the loss of faith-based organizations and property and the deterioration of communities, we saw the urgent need for sustainable solutions.

Religious congregations play important roles in our communities. Congregations provide physical infrastructure and complex social networks that can be leveraged for a wide range of issues. They also provide access to informal support, food, health care, and educational and job opportunities through extended social networks and linkages with other community institutions.

Support us to serve congregations to grow their mission by sustainably transforming their faith property

We help congregations to understand their properties’ potential, and work with partners committed to mission-driven development.

Our objective is to help New York’s faith leaders become more conversant and knowledgeable with the entire process of directing their resources towards the development of affordable, supportive or transitional housing.

Help us to orient congregations and faith partners with regard to the needs of their local and regional neighbors

Our target populations are community-based housing providers, professionals, and clergy and lay leaders from a cross section of faith communities in NYC seeking to help congregations grow in their mission, serve their communities, and better use faith property for mission-driven development - as well as to help promote related policy solutions.
