Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens, one of the largest faith-based affordable housing providers, has launched a solar-energy project across its existing 44 buildings. The initiative is a response to Pope Francis’ 2015 letter, Laudato Si, which outlined his environmental concerns, including climate change.

The Workforce and Development Talent Center at EBC is one of five operational stores that provide pharmacy training services to individuals with disabilities, mature workers, youth and veterans. After a multi-year legal battle with their development partners, Brisa Builders over $3,000 a month condo fees, the CEO of Brisa Builders and Pastor Felix Gross were to resolve their legal issues out of the courtroom. Evangelical Church Disciples of Christ opened its new worship space in late June with a celebration of the 100th birthday of its co-founder, Aide Cabrera, Pastor Gross’ mother.

The Grace (Mount Vernon, NY)

Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, NY had already planned to construct a new sanctuary on three neighboring lots on Second Street and Sixth Avenue when the coronavirus pandemic hit. Worship attendance changed overnight as congregants started tuning in virtually from their homes, other states or from other countries during the quarantine.
