With an eight-year history of partnering with non-theatrical venues to present danceplays in real-life environments, NY-based dance-theater company Welcome to Campfire is seeking a space for the premiere of their newest evening-length duet. Ideally, the company would inhabit a large room with a smooth, open floor space for two weeks in February, with a minimum of five full days of rehearsal and seven performances for 30-60 audience members across two weekends.
The themes of the work – a meditation on grief, consciousness, and the fluidity of self called Chalk Outline Portal – would resonate profoundly in a sacred space where devotion is practiced daily.
The company would love to hear from anyone open to a conversation.
